High Adventure Newsletter

The Inside Scoop On High Adventure
The BSA's 4 national high adventure bases provide an incredible variety of epic experiences for Scouts and Venturers year-round, and all across the country. This High Adventure Newsletter is your source for regular news on Philmont, Northern Tier, Sea Base and the Summit Bechtel Reserve. Check out the adventure waiting for you!
The Philmont backcountry in the mountains of New Mexico is the proving ground for tomorrow's leaders. Open skies and hundreds of miles of trail await participants in Philmont's Individual Opportunity Programs. Individual Scouts can apply for trail, horse and conservation programs.
A canoe trip with virtually no mosquitoes? You bet. Apply for Northern Tier's new Autumn Adventure Program and ditch the bugs. Canoe, backpack and fish against a backdrop of amazing fall colors. See fewer bugs and way fewer people.
No sailing simulations here; Sea Base programs offer Scouts the real deal. Due to its popularity, we've added another big boat to our Sea Exploring Adventure program for summer 2012! Openings are still available for fall and winter 2012 programs.
The 2013 Jamboree at the Summit Bechtel Reserve is all about action sports from mountain biking, BMX and skating to zip lines, whitewater and rock climbing. So buckle your helmet, snug your harness, check your gear and get prepared to go big and get wild. Don't miss out! Not looking for an adrenaline rush? No problem! Jambo faves like patch trading and technology quest will return in 2013.
