April 24, 2010 - Oak Park EarthFest

Please join the community for a day of environmental care and awareness. Start by cleaning up our parks, schools, creeks and trails in and around Oak Park and then enjoy an afternoon of fun for the whole family at OPUSD's Eco-Festival at Oak Park High School.

Clean Up (9 - 11 a.m.)

  • Come to a staging area between 9 - 9:30 a.m. at any of the six Oak Park schools or in front of the Oak Park Starbucks. Trash bags, latex gloves, and maps provided.
  • Stay as long as you can. All help appreciated.
  • Trash bags can be left by the side of a road, where it crosses a trail or major intersection.

Eco-Festival (11 a.m. - 3 p.m.)

  • Located at Oak Park High School
  • Activity booths for kids of all ages
  • Information booths about energy conservation, organic gardening, organic cleaning supplies and more!
  • PizzaSalad selling great all-organic lunches
  • Vendors selling earth-friendly products
  • Live music featuring the bands "Left on Bromely" and "Mumpo"
  • Oak Park's Farmer's Market relocated (9 a.m. – 3 p.m.)
  • Ventura County electronic and bulky waste event on site (8:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.)
