May 6-8, 2011 - Desert merit badges and shotgun shooting

To all Boy Scouts and their leaders:

Your hosts:

Dates: May 6, 7, 8

Place: Camp Cady Wildlife Area - Mojave Desert - San Bernardino County

Accommodations: RV spaces with full hook ups (9), RV spaces without hookups, tent area with room for unlimited number off tents. Picnic area, fire pit. Bunkhouse with full kitchen, bathrooms, shower, and limited bedroom availability.

Schedule:

Friday: Arrival anytime after 3:30 pm

Saturday: Your choice of California Hunters safety course open to all adults and kids (prerequisite to getting a valid California hunting license) or work on Wildlife Habitat (environment) merit badge. Also available will be Astronomy merit badge counseling in the evening (the night sky in the Mojave desert is unbelievable).

Sunday: Morning tour of the entire Camp Cady compound and some shotgun range time too.

Fees: $25.00 per person. This includes all activity fees (even the Hunter Safety class), and a very special Saturday night dinner prepared by your hosts.

The Hunter safety class is limited to the first 25, so reserve your space now.
