April 23, 2009 - Eagle Recognition Dinner

Every year a special group of young men achieve Scouting's highest honor, the rank of Eagle Scout. We firmly believe in the importance of publicly acknowledging the self-discipline, perseverance, and moral fiber that these young men have demonstrated in pursuing this achievement. Qualities like these, learned at an early age, give renewed promise of strong leadership for our community and the Nation in the years to come.

On Thursday, April 23, 2009, the Western Los Angeles County Council will honor the Eagle Scouts of the Class of 2008-2009. As a Scouting Leader, you have made a difference of the lives of these young men.

The Eagle Scout Recognition Dinner will be held at the Airtel Plaza Hotel in Van Nuys on the evening of Thursday, April 23, 2009 from 6:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. This evening is a Celebration of Service focusing on the accomplishments of the young men who comprise the Eagle Scout Class of 2008-2009. We know that the Eagle Scout Recognition Dinner will be an inspiring and rewarding experience.

Please consider joining with the leaders... The cost of the dinner is $65.00 per person. If you would like to sponsor a member of the Eagle Scout Class of 2008 - 2009, the cost is $130.00 which includes the cost of your dinner and 1 Eagle Scout. As a host you will have your name printed in the program and will receive the 2009 Eagle Scout recognition memento.

Please join Western Los Angeles County Council in honoring the Eagle Scout Class of 2008-2009.

Yours in Scouting,
Glinda Fortner
