Hall of Leadership deadline extended

We have seen thousands of terrific stories about Scouting leadership submitted to the National Hall of Leadership nomination database, but we know there are many more great stories out there yet to be shared!

We know that everyone is busy ramping up for a busy 100th Anniversary year. So, we’ve extended the nomination deadline to April 2, 2010. Our goal is to get the broadest representation possible from our councils across the country, and we want to make sure you have enough time to encourage people in your council to submit their nominations.

Based on this new schedule, the final group of inductees — one from each local council and one from the national council — will be announced July 31st as part of the 100th Anniversary events at the National Scout Jamboree at Fort A.P. Hill, Virginia.

Submit your nomination today! Don’t miss this one-time opportunity to recognize outstanding leadership by a Scout, registered Scout leader, or Scouting volunteer who made a significant difference in the life of another by the extraordinary service they have given … and the Scouting virtues they have modeled.

Together, launching Scouting’s next century of service!
